American Institute of Timber Construction The American Institute of Timber Construction (AITC) is the national technical trade association of the structural glued laminated (glulam) timber industry. AITC represents a majority of the glued laminated timber manufacturers in the U.S. in addition to a number of installers, suppliers, sales representatives, engineers, architects, designers, and researchers. Since 1952, the American Institute of Timber Construction has had one name and one focus - structural glued laminated timber. Utilizing the professional talents and extensive experience of its membership base, AITC developed, sponsored and continues to maintain the American National Standard for Structural Glued Laminated Timber - ANSI/AITC A190.1.

AWPA Standards are developed by its technical committees in an ANSI accredited consensus-based process that involves individuals from all facets of wood preservation: Producers of preservatives and preservative components; producers of treated and untreated wood products; end users of treated wood; engineers, architects and building code officials; government entities, academia, and other groups with a general interest in wood preservation. AWPA's Standards are universally specified for wood preservation in the USA, and are recognized worldwide.

CSI is accredited by the Canadian Lumber Standards Accreditation Board (CLSAB) and the American Lumber Standards Committee Inc. (ALSC) and is a member of the National Lumber Grades Authority (NLGA). CSI actively participates in CLSAB and NLGA committees and task groups providing a direct link between our clients and the decisions that affect them and their customers.
